What is working with me as a Spiritual Counselor like?
It 's like having me as your very own personal Life Coach. Being a spiritual counselor, I am committed to living consciously through spiritual laws and principles and can speak about them with authority through my own experience and study. I have found that this process benefits those most who are open, honest and willing. We will develop a sacred and powerful partnership. Based on this partnership---we will work together to remove any emotional blocks you may have. Often these blocks are subconscious (or conscious) which have become limited beliefs from childhood that are in part, keeping you from fully living the life you are wanting. I want you to know that you can literally transform them by acquiring and practicing a new level of awareness and consciousness. You will become empowered by discovering the Source within and how to practically connect to it. Utilizing tools such as meditation and your Emotional Guidance System, you will become adept at shifting your vibration into alignment with Pure Positive Energy, the very Source that is within you. This is conscious living and conscious creating at it's very best.
You are a powerful, vibrational being and a unique expression of Divine Intelligence Itself. And nothing and no one can keep you from fulfilling your life's purpose and dreams. You can create by default or by design. The choice is yours. No one else can do it for you. Only you. Here are a few specific areas I specialize in that are a result of my own personal experience and areas of continued growth.
Spiritual Prosperity
If you are Spiritually Prosperous, you will experience prosperity in every other area of your life. What does spiritual prosperity mean? In short it means having the willingness to explore, discover and commit to living who you are as a Spiritual, Vibrational being. This is the foundation on which everything else is built. Shakespeare in his brilliance said "This above all else, To Thy Own Self be True." and when we align ourselves with the Power and Presence that literally creates galaxies, then any and everything becomes possible. This Power is within you. It is in fact who you are. It will lead you, guide you and sustain you if you let it. Commit to knowing, experiencing and practicing this truth in all your affairs and everything else will be added unto you. Literally!
Health and Healing
Carolyn Myss, author of Anatomy of the Spirit said "Our biography becomes our biology". Our bodies have a divine energetic, vibrational flow and when we honor our truth, that which our heart is calling us to be, then healing occurs naturally. This is just not theory I read in a book, I have personal testimony in healing from a terminal diagnosis.
Financial Prosperity
That which we give we receive and combined with passion becomes the basis of all financial prosperity. When we see the unlimited nature of Spirit and Universal Intelligence and joy as the Source of our financial supply, the money will come. When we are living and fulfilling our life's purpose with passion, the money will come. When we are doing that which we love, the universe will literally support us in every way. Though the form of what we may do for a living may vary, the sub text is always the same. To love and be of service. How can I utilize my talents and gifts for my highest good and the highest good of those around me? The only lack that exist is in our thinking. I am a very dedicated student of Abraham /Hicks and their teachings. Simply stated "That which is likened is drawn unto itself."
Love and Relationships
Truth is, all relationships are about the relationship you have with yourself. Everything else will be a reflection of that. You must be willing to love yourself enough to receive more love. Part of this formula includes forgiving the past (including yourself) so you can be free to create the future you are wanting. Love is who and what you are, and naturally emerges from within you. Others can inspire you to experience it, but they are not the Source of it. So the really good news here is this... "because they cannot give it, they can not take it away!" This is a new paradigm for relationships, and it is profoundly liberating and healing. It moves us from a state of dependence to inner-dependence. I love helping others with this, as it has been a tremendous area of healing for me.
Addiction and Recovery
I have been in the field of recovery for over 23 years. Specific areas include drug, alcohol, sex addiction and codependency. Even if you are new or been around for a while, understanding and integrating Universal laws and Principles can enhance your recovery program profoundly. By discovering a Higher Power of your understanding, we can create an even deeper experience by exploring the Universal Laws on which sobriety is based. Recovery programs are often designed for each individual to have a spiritual experience, one that they can build a meaningful life on. As a dear friend once said to me, " if you want a big life, you need a big Spiritual connection/Higher Power to support it!"
GLBT Empowerment
Part of my personal mission in life is to help the GLBT community heal their lives and live their dreams. As a gay man I was able to heal my own homophobia by embracing a new concept of God/Spirit that was loving and accepting. Healing my own shame and guilt were an important part of the steps to experiencing and finding my true authentic voice. This made way for my unique talents and gifts to shine and my life's purpose and passion to be revealed!
Expertise
Joseph's personal experience and passion for recovery began in 1985. In 2000, his quest and commitment for learning earned him a degree from The University of Transformational Studies and Leadership in Los Angeles, California. He served as the spiritual advisor for Alternatives Recovery Center in 2006 and is a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner at the Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles under the direction of Dr. Michael Bernard Beckwith. He is a student of Abraham-Hicks, A Course in Miracles among other New Thought/Ancient Wisdom teachings and has a private practice in West Hollywood, California. Joe experiences life as this powerful, fluid dance between our humanity and our divinity.
